ULaMM

With ULaMM, Capital Loan Has Never Been Easier
There is a buzzword which always arises any time there is a talk about economy and welfare of the people. A thing convinced to be well-proven and resilient economic enterpreneur to survive the economic crisis. That is the MSMEC (Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises and Cooperatives), which in 2004 had contributed an amount of Rp 1.786 trillion or around 57% to the national PDB.

Many opportunities and potentials abound. There is more to talk and discuss. Yet, how to realize the opportunities and potentials in the community life?

A breakthrough
In August 2008, PNM launched the direct financing program, known as UlaMM or “Micro Capital Service Unit”. ULaMM is a capital loan service for micro and small business accompanied by technical assistance in developing the operation. ULaMM is a new model or breakthrough for PNM as its financing distribution is conducted directly to the person or loan to business entity (Limited Liability, CV, Firma, etc).

One Stop Shopping
As a pilot project in medio 2008 - established in 12 areas in DKI Jakarta and West Java, ULaMM becomes a “One Stop Shopping” outlet for the micro and small enterpreneurs, which is accompanied by a range of technical supports for the customers. The objective is encouraging the micro and small enterprises to continually grow and accelerate its business development. The supports encompass provision of consults, training program, operation assistance as well as financial management and market access.

Benefit for the Customers
ULaMM provides distinctive advantages to the micro enterpreneurs due to its clear and easy requirements. Installment is much easier, as it’s well suited to the payment power and the return of business operation, from daily, weekly, to monthly instalment. The main point is that ULaMM has been specifically designed to encourage the business interest and people’s welfare.

Creating Employment and Expanding Benefit of the Company
Through productive working capital loan, ULaMM sets up an annual loan disbursement of more than Rp 1 trillion and continually increasing within five years ahead. By using commercial sector cluster approach in SME financing, target of ULaMM conveys of various clusters, which among others include traditional food, bag handicrafts, shoes and accessories, metal smith and poultry farmer cluster.

Assuming that each customer recruits three people, therefore ULaMM is targeted to enable creating employment opportunities for 1.2 million people and beneficiaries amounted to five million people.
